Wynyard is a thriving town situated on the North West Coast of the Island State of Tasmania. It is also situated just a one hour flight from Melbourne - Australia's second largest City.
You may get to Wynyard by car using the popular ferry service between Melbourne and Devonport; your own boat, yacht or cruiser sailing direct in to Wynyard; using private aircraft from anywhere in the world or like most, by using commercial aircraft (55 min flight) from Melbourne's International Airport - Tullamarine. Some flights also traverse between Wynyard and Moorabbin in Victoria.
The Wynyard Airport, better known as the Burnie/Wynyard Airport is situated within walking distance of the Wynyard Post Office and the centre of town and several flights per day are available between Melbourne and Wynyard. The Ferry service between Melbourne and Devonport is another popular way of getting to Tasmania. A first class road will take you along the coast to Wynyard using up just under one hour of your time.
