Table Cape Lighthouse

The Table Cape Lighthouse is the only working lighthouse open to the public in Tasmania. The Table Cape Lighthouse Experience is a 15 - 20 minute tour that tours this fascinating Lighthouse. Built in a different age, the light protected ships under sail in the treacherous Bass Strait. The 1888 structure is the keeper of many a good story and has looked over the local town of Wynyard since near the town’s inception. Climb the heritage stairs and enjoy the view over water and the farm. Find out about the lighthouse keepers and Table Cape’s explosive beginnings on the Table Cape Lighthouse Experience. Tours start at the lighthouse, turn up and wait for the guide to finish their tour. Then it will be your turn.
