A low-growing Campanula species with star-shaped, violet to blue flowers with white on the throat.

Campanula poscharskyana(Zones 1,2,3)

Campanula poscharskyana thrives best in slightly moist areas in the garden. It can be planted in full sun but if it's too hot during the summer, it is best planted in dappled shade or part shade, so it can get the morning sun but not the harsh afternoon sun. This variety can be invasive but great as a ground cover to suppress weeds in the garden. To maintain its compact habit, it is best to be trimmed after flowering. Like any other plants that naturalise, this variety of Campanula is best to be planted on edges or to cascade in a rock garden.
